Background

EADS was born of the merger of German DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG, French Aérospatiale –
Matra and Spanish Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA), creating a company spanning the
industries of Aeronautics, Defence and Space. Prior to the the rebrand, EADS were a muddled
group of companies without a clear overarching identifier to the group or parent company.

Identity system

A simple and united brand architecture was developed to enable a consistent look and feel across the organisation. The new look and feel reflects EADS’s brand values whilst also highlighting their diversity and stature in the aerospace and defence industry.

Experience

Clean lines and type coupled with dramatic images and real life scenarios captured the pioneering and innovative spirit of EADS and its subsidiary brands. The rebrand has set the foundation for the eventual move to a monolithic brand.
